Every year, Nintendo celebrates “MAR10 Day” on March 10, offering all kinds of Mario-themed sales and other promotions.
Now, the company has revealed everything it’s doing for MAR10 Day 2025.
Hardware
First off, you can get a Nintendo Switch — OLED model bundle with Super Mario Bros. Wonder and three months of Nintendo Switch Online for $449.99, the same price as buying just the console on its own. In other words, you’re getting $89.98 in savings overall with the bonus game and Switch Online membership.
On top of that, Nintendo’s Alarmo clock will be available for purchase on March 9 for $129.99 from retailers like Best Buy, GameStop, and Walmart. The interactive device launched last fall exclusively for Switch Online subscribers, so this marks its wide release.
Software
Naturally, a bunch of Mario games will go on sale, including:
- Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD — $54.99 (regularly $79.99)
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong — $44.99 (regularly $64.99)
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe — $54.99 (regularly $79.99)
- Princess Peach: Showtime! — $54.99 (regularly $79.99)
- Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury — $54.99 (regularly $79.99)
- Super Mario Odyssey — $54.99 (regularly $79.99)
- Super Mario RPG — $54.99 (regularly $79.99)
The discounts will be available starting March 6 on the eShop through the above links or at participating retailers like Best Buy, GameStop, and Walmart.
It’s important to note that Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with Switch games should you decide to upgrade to the new console when it launches sometime this year. (An April 2 Nintendo Direct presentation is set to reveal more about the hotly anticipated device.)
Miscellaneous
Between March 7 and 17, Nintendo will host the My Nintendo Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Community Challenge in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which tasks players around the world to finish one million combined in-game laps to receive 310 My Nintendo Platinum Points. As long as you complete at least one lap with an active Switch Online membership, you’ll be eligible to earn the points should the challenge be completed. To participate, enter the tournament code 1152-2501-4827 in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
It should be noted that Platinum Points can be spent on physical goodies like stickers, hats and keychains. This program is not to be confused with Gold Points, the form of cashback eShop currency that Nintendo recently confirmed will end on March 24, 2025. Nintendo says Platinum Points will remain supported beyond this date.
Nintendo’s other two MAR10 Day initiatives are, unfortunately, U.S.-only: a MyNintendo contest to win a trip to Universal Orlando Resort (which has the Super Nintendo World attractions) and a Mario collaboration with the American airline JetBlue.
Beyond that, though, a new 2,000-piece Mario Kart Lego set was unveiled. More information can be found in our news post. On top of that, the Lego Store’s Insider loyalty program is offering double the points on purchases of the Mario Lego sets between March 5 and 11. This includes various Mario Kart and Donkey Kong sets. You can view the full collection on Lego’s website.
