PlayStation reveals limited edition The Last of Us PS5 controller

PlayStation has unveiled a brand-new limited edition PS5 DualSense controller based on The Last of Us.

Created in “close collaboration” with The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog, the black-and-white controller sports all kinds of imagery that harkens back to key characters and moments from the games. This includes prominent insignias for Ellie’s moth tattoo, the Fireflies and the Washington Liberation Front (WLF), as well as black gloss trophy icons featuring the likes of Joel’s guitar, a Clicker and the water gun from the first game’s Left Behind DLC.

The Last of Us Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller will cost $109.99 CAD and launch on April 10 worldwide, with pre-orders going live in select markets on PlayStation Direct (which isn’t available in Canada) and “participating retailers” on March 14.

The launch of the controller coincides with two other notable dates for The Last of Us series. On April 3, The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be released on Steam and the Epic Games Store, making it the first time that The Last of Us Part II experience is available on PC. The Last of Us Part I is also already on PC.

Then, on April 13, the highly-anticipated second season of The Last of Us — which partially adapts The Last of Us Part II — will premiere on HBO and Crave. Season 2 was filmed in and around Vancouver, marking a departure from the first season’s Alberta shooting locations.
