Nintendo is finally bringing GameCube games to Switch Online, exclusively for the Switch 2.
Announced during the Switch 2 Direct, the company confirmed that select GameCube titles will be coming to Switch Online + Expansion Pack on June 5, the same day the Switch 2 launches. Confirmed games so far include The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Soul Calibur II (once again featuring Link as a guest character) and F-Zero GX. The company teased that other games, like Mario Strikers, Pokémon Colosseum and Luigi’s Mansion, will be added in the future.
Additionally, Nintendo confirmed that a replica GameCube controller will be launching alongside the Switch 2 and GameCube support. Pricing wasn’t specified, but the company did note that it will feature the same new ‘C’ button that’s being introduced with the Switch 2 Joy-Cons for social features like game chat.
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack costs $63.99 for a 12-month individual membership (one account) or $99.99 for a 12-month Family Membership (up to eight accounts).
