Freedom Mobile is giving away free ‘Roam Beyond’ data passes to eligible customers. The free passes include 1GB of Roam Beyond data for use in any eligible Roam Beyond destination.
If you’re with Freedom, you’ll want to check the ‘Add-ons & Passes’ section of your MyAccount for the free roaming data. You’ll need to “purchase” the add-on, but it costs $0. However, it appears the data is only available for 154 days after purchase. It will also expire if customers change their plans.
Details of the free roaming data deal were posted on Reddit, and MobileSyrup’s Brad Bennett was able to confirm the offer on his Freedom account.
According to fine print for the offer, Freedom started the giveaway on April 29, 2025. Eligibility requirements include being subscribed to a prepaid or postpaid Freedom plan that’s $34/mo or more after the Digital Discount (Freedom’s name for its automatic payments discount). Customers can only redeem one pass per eligible line.
Oddly, the fine print says the offer must be redeemed in store, but Bennett was able to redeem it on his phone.
The offer will run until May 12, 2025. On Reddit, people noted that Freedom did a similar roaming data giveaway last year that was limited to 20,000 passes. While there doesn’t seem to be a hard limit on this year’s offer, the fine print does specify that the giveaway will be available “while quantities last.” So you might want to grab your bonus data sooner rather than later.
