Freedom Mobile improved its 30-day Roam Beyond passes, adding extra data and talk and text options.
The provider currently offers two 30-day Roam Beyond passes. The first costs $30 and includes 5GB of data and unlimited talk and text, while the second is $50 for 10GB and unlimited talk and text.
The included calling only works for calls to Canada or local numbers in the current Roam Beyond destination that users are in. Texts, on the other hand, are global.
Roam Beyond works in over 100 destinations, including countries in the Americas, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and Oceania. Freedom has a full list of supported destinations on its website.
The addition of talk and text to the Roam Beyond passes will make them even more usable. Overall, they seem like good options for travellers, unless you already have a plan with bundled roaming.
Most of Freedom’s plans include built-in roaming to the U.S. and Mexico, and some include Roam Beyond data. However, if you don’t have one of those plans, these new bundles could be a great, affordable way to get roaming.
