On top of these Canadian originals, Amazon showcased several other titles with Canadian ties, from a quick tease for The Boys Season 5 from Mississauga, Ontario’s Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir) to Hamilton, Ontario-born Olympian hockey player Sarah Nurse talking about the PWHL. A video recording from Vancouver’s Ryan Reynolds was also played in which he discussed Colin Hanks’ upcoming documentary on the late Canadian comedian John Candy. On top of that, Amazon confirmed that NBA games are coming to Prime Video in the 2026/2027 season.

This all comes after Amazon greenlit seven Canadian originals last year, including three from comedian Tom Green. Some of the streamer’s other Canadian originals include the comedy series The Lake, the Jamie Lee Curtis-produced The StickyThe Kids in the Hall: Comedy Punks and The Tragically Hip: No Dress Rehearsal docuseries.

On top of that, the streamer says more than 60 of its films and shows have been filmed in Canada, including The Boys and its Gen V spin-off, Reacher, Upload and Man in the High Castle.

Prime Video is included with an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $99/year. An additional $2.99/month fee is required to remove ads. MobileSyrup also has a full list of what’s coming to Prime Video Canada in June.

Update: 29/05/2025 at 5:14 p.m. ET — Added a couple of trailers and context for additional announcements from Upfront.
