Wattpad details new updates coming later this year

Wattpad President Aron Levitz has published a new blog post about the company’s upcoming projects.

Wattpad says it still loves its free user-generated content and will make it easier for people to write and share on Wattpad, whether they’re independent authors or part of the Originals ecosystem. Wattpad will also build new search, discovery, personalization and recommendation features to make it easier for users to find stories they’re interested in.

Wattpad is also looking at new ways to make ads on Wattpad a more seamless experience, keep the platform free, and find a balance between letting people lose themselves in a story.

The platform will also launch new ways to make it easier for people to find their communities, connect, find like-minded readers, and for authors to connect with their fans in new ways. However, the blog post didn’t explain how it plans to do this.
