Nothing like sending out a tweet to quell suspicions
After a new report from the New York Times that elaborated on Elon Musk’s drug use while working at the White House, the CEO has taken to X.com to deny the allegations.
Musk replied to a joke someone made about the report by saying, “to be clear, I am NOT taking drugs! The New York Times was lying their ass off. I tried *prescription* ketamine a few years ago and said so on X, so this not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but haven’t taken it since then.”

Ketamine has been a recurring drug allegation leveraged at Musk since a Wall Street Journal story from early 2024, but the latest report also mentions Adderall, Ecstasy, mushrooms and others. Things have apparently gotten worse since then, and Musk is suffering intense side effects like bladder problems.
Musk also alleges that after three years of random drug tests, he was never caught using drugs. However, the Times report claims insiders gave Musk a heads-up ahead of the tests, allowing him to skirt them.
The report also claims that he spends much of his time on X and playing video games. A quick scroll through his profile shows that this is very true. As of the time of writing, he’s already tweeted over 30 times today.
