The report reveals that the Canadian premium smartphone market is seeing traction due to advanced features like AI, cameras and displays, and more extended software support. Premium device sales drive the market through strong promotions and Canadian carriers’ discounting phones when you purchase a plan.
According to the report, the foldable phone market is also seeing traction.

The Canada Channel Share Tracker reveals that more than 75 per cent of Canada’s smartphone sales in 2024 are for phones priced at more than US$700 (C$960), with the market being dominated by the iPhone 16 series and the S24 series. However, Google has gained significant traction due to the high demand for its premium smartphones.
