An awesome Freedom Mobile deal was spotted in Oshawa, Ont., but it seems to be in-store only. The 18-month-only promotion offers 80GB of data for $35 per month for customers who bring their own phone.
You can use this data in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico; you also get 15GB of bonus roaming data outside one of these three countries.
Typically, an 80GB Canada-U.S.-Mexico plan is $49 (with the digital discount), or $45 if you bring your own phone ($4 BYOP credit and digital discount), so this deal gives an additional $10/mo off for 18 months. After 18 months, your pricing would rise to $45 per month.

Freedom advertised the promo as saving customers up to $281, based on the $4 BYOP discount and $10 discount for 18 months, plus waiving the $45 connection fee. However, the company’s math doesn’t seem to add up. If you take the discounts, that’s $14 in savings over 18 months, or $252 total. Tack on the $45 connection fee for $297, more than what’s advertised.
Regardless of the shaky math, this promotion seems pretty good. Check your stores because they might have this deal as well.
