Telus is throwing in a PlayStation 5 console at no additional cost when you sign up for an internet and TV bundle.
The bundle in question is Telus internet with Optik TV, which is normally priced at $145/mo but is currently discounted to $130/mo for existing Telus and Koodo customers or $140/mo for newcomers.
On this two-year plan, you’ll get Telus internet at up 100 Mbps with unlimited internet data (for 24 months, then $20/mo thereafter) and Optik TV, which includes a Telus TV Digital Box, 38+ core HD channels (like CBC, CTV and Citytv) and one premium streaming service (like Disney+, Netflix or Apple TV+.).
With that plan, you’ll get the Digital Edition PS5 (a $579.99 value). Note that this is the lower-cost PS5 that can’t play physical media like the $650 standard disc drive-equipped model.
If you’re not interested in a free PlayStation, Telus does have alternate gift options available. These include a 55-inch 4K Samsung TV ($549.99 MSRP), a $400 Visa Prepaid Card, or a two-year monthly discount (Telus doesn’t specify how much this discount is, but it seems to be around $20/mo or $480 over two years).
It should also be noted that this promotion is only available in Alberta and B.C.
