Yep, you read that right. Pre-orders are now live for Kirby Air Riders, and the listed price on Nintendo’s website is $99.99.
Spotted by Lbabinz on X, online pre-orders for the remake of the iconic 2003 GameCube title are for the digital edition, which can be pre-loaded to Switch 2 systems. Similar pre-orders are currently live for Pokémon Legends Z-A: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Borderlands 4, EA Sports FC 26, and more.
Kirby isn’t the only game to be priced this high; Donkey Kong Bananza, Pokémon Legends Z-A: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Mario Kart World, and Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV are all sitting around the $100-plus price point, with the Mario Party title being the most expensive at $114.99.
Non-Nintendo developed titles are also seeing high price tags, with EA’s sports titles Madden 26 and FC26 priced at $89.99, and Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion sitting at the same price point.
However, Persona 3 Reload and Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero are priced $10 cheaper at $79.99. Good news, though, is that Pac-Man 2 Re-Pac is only $39.99 (The original on sixth-gen systems was fantastic.)
Recently, Kirby Air Riders got its own dedicated Nintendo Direct, which was hosted by director Masahiro Sakurai. The direct showed off the ability to change your rider (hence the name Air Riders), alongside other features.
Kirby Air Riders will release on November 20, 2025.
