Pixel 10 users on Reddit and even Jon Lamont at MobileSyrup have been dealing with a weird issue where the display will randomly crash and display a ton of digital static and noise.
This seems to be a pretty infrequent issue, but it’s still not something you want to see happen on your brand-new smartphone. Most users on Reddit report that they’re still able to turn off the display, and whenever they turn the screen back on, the issue is gone.
It looks like Google is investigating the issue, as the official Google Pixel Reddit account is asking people in the thread for more information. Ideally, this means the company will try to fix this issue. Hopefully, it can be resolved via a software update.
Google is no stranger to weird display defects in the Pixel line, with the Pixel 2 XL suffering from burn-in, the Pixel 4’s weird screen brightness/flickering problems, and many others. Recently, even the Pixel 8 has been given an extended care program at Google because of all the display issues it had.
