At The Android Show I/O Edition, we learned that Google is bringing its Gemini AI chatbot to more platforms, like Watch OS, Android TV, and XR.
In the coming months, Google will bring Gemini to Wear OS, allowing you to prompt the assistant in a variety of situations. You can use it to remind you which locker you’re using at the gym, to set a timer when your hands are covered with flour, pause your workout and more.
For Android Auto, Gemini will let users give hands-free voice commands, but with natural conversations. Gemini connects to other apps on Messages, so it can summarize the messages you receive and translate your reply into another language before sending. It connects to apps like YouTube Music, Spotify and Google Maps, you can even have it connect to your Gmail app, allowing it to scan your inbox for an address in your email.
Gemini will be available on Android Auto in the coming months, followed by cars with Google built-in.,
Later this year, Gemini will also hit Google TV. You’ll be able to ask for specific genre of movies that are age-appropriate. It’ll also allow you to pull up YouTube videos and you can ask your TV questions as well.
And Gemini is also coming to Android XR. When Samsung launches Project Moohan later this year, you’ll be able to use Gemini to help you plan a vacation by surrounding yourself with videos, maps and tips.
Gemini is coming to a lot of devices as well as earbuds from Sony and Samsung.
