Google plans to bring Material 3 Expressive to all its platforms, starting with Android and Wear OS.
On Wear OS, Google is bringing dynamic colour-theming so that when you change the theme for your watch face, it applies to your entire system. Aditionally, Wear OS is creating glanceable buttons designed for round displays. Google says this is more space-efficient, engaging and provides quick access to information or actions.
Furthermore, Google said that Wear OS 6 will improve performance, optimize power, and offer up to 10 per cent more battery life.
The Search company also refreshed key components of Wear OS, like the pin pad and controlling media. It offers smoother transitions and more responsive feedback.
Material 3 Expressive hits Wear OS later this year.
