Fido is offering $35 for 70GB deal to existing customers

If you’re a Fido customer looking to upgrade your plan, you might be eligible for a new deal currently being offered to select customers.

Some Fido customers posted to the Fido subreddit saying they were offered a $35 per month plan with 70GB of data, and unlimited Canada-wide talk/text.

Another deal featured in the post is a 120GB talk and text plan that surpasses the previous offering with 1,000 U.S. and 1,000 international long-distance minutes. This plan is also after the $10 automatic payments discount.

Neither of these plans appears to include U.S. data roaming. Moreover, it’s worth noting that Fido only offers 4G data (speeds capped at 150Mbps). It’s also not clear if these special plans include hotspot access — Fido stopped including hotspot access in its plans earlier this year, but recently brought the feature back as a limited-time ‘promotional’ offer.

Currently, Fido offers the following plans to all new and existing customers:

• $37.50 for 2GB.
• $40 for 10GB after $10 automatic payments discount, and 500 int. texts (eligible for $0 hotspot and 10GB bonus deal).
• $45 for 40GB after $10 automatic payments discount, and 500 int. texts (same offer as previous, includes 3 per cent savings with Rogers Red credit card).
• $50 for 60GB after $10 automatic payments discount, and 1000 int. texts (same offer as previous, includes credit card deal).

If you do get one of the $35/75GB offers, it’s definitely a better plan than Fido’s in-market offers and likely worth getting. Fido customers should check their account online to see if this plan, or any other special offers, are loaded in.

Plus, we’re getting close to the holiday sale season, which means we’ll likely see good deals from several wireless providers. So, don’t sweat it if Fido doesn’t have an offer for you — there might be something better coming soon.
