Spotify finally launches lossless audio

But not in Canada yet

Lossless audio is finally available on Spotify.

The music streaming service announced the launch on Wednesday, noting that the feature is rolling out now to Premium subscribers in select markets. Unfortunately, Canada isn’t one of the initial countries, but Spotify says support will expand to over 50 markets by October.

With lossless audio, Spotify Premium users can get better sound quality when listening to their music. This option will appear alongside the previous Low, Normal, High and Very High music quality options, with a clear indicator of the data costs beside each of them.

To enable lossless audio, tap your profile icon in the top left, go to Settings & Privacy → Media Quality, and select where you want to turn on the feature (Wi-Fi, cellular and/or downloads).

Hopefully, lossless audio will expand to Canada come October.
